The state of health and well-being is interdependent with the energy centers of spiritual power in the body and is fundamental to the healing process.  This invisible energy anatomy of the body (Prana) is the vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.

The energy system of the body is a delicate, yet intricate web of interconnecting energy lines fundamental to the healing process.  Conventional anatomy and physiology would not be able to identify these pathways in a physical sense in the way that blood vessels can be identified.  It is more useful to consider the energy system as an energetic distribution network that in itself tends towards energetic manifestation.  This invisible energy system is responsible for our physical, emotional and spiritual health and keeps us vibrant and alive.

Chakras are subtle centers in the energetic system of the body that channel energy into the body and meridians. Meridian channels follow the same path that the autonomic nervous system does along the spine.

There are seven main chakras, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head.  These energy centers correspond to nerve centers in the body. Each of the seven main chakras contains bundles of nerves and major organs, as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being.  It is essential that our seven main chakras are open, aligned, and fluid.  Health is determined by the flow of energy from the chakras into the metabolic network of the body.

In Chinese Qi/Ki means “vital energy force.”  In a healthy body, Qi/Ki flows freely along invisible paths called meridians.  Adverse physical conditions, stress, trauma or emotional tension may cause blockages of deficiencies of Qi/Ki, which eventually lead to dis-ease of body, mind, and soul.
